About this book
Anxious thoughts are easier to carry once they are on paper. This is a calm, guided journal for teens: 84 daily check-in pages (twelve weeks), each with the same five fields: a 1-to-5 mood scale with plain labels, a calming prompt, a short breathing or mindfulness exercise, free-writing space for whatever is on your mind, and one gratitude line.
The prompts rotate so no two weeks feel the same. The breathing exercises are described in plain words: box breathing, slow counting breaths, the 5-4-3-2-1 senses exercise. Every week ends with a review page (what the week felt like, what helped, one thing to try next week), and milestone check-ins at weeks 4, 8, and 12 ask what has changed and what has stayed the same. A two-page calm-down toolkit up front collects twelve concrete coping actions in one or two plain sentences each.
The tone is warm and supportive, never clinical. Nothing here diagnoses or promises outcomes. This journal is a self-reflection tool, not a substitute for professional help: the book says so plainly, with crisis resources listed for moments that feel overwhelming or unsafe.
All pages are undated. Start any day; miss a day without guilt.
